GIVING

The Rock Baptist Church is dependent upon the gifts of the Lord’s people as the Lord leads and burdens them. The funds it needs in order to function come in their entirety from free will offerings made as the Lord leads. No goods or services are offered in exchange for the gifts. We recognize that there are many good ministries which need financial help and no one person can help all of them, no matter how much the desire might be to do this. The important issue is faithfulness to God in accordance with His leading. If God leads you to help us in our ministry, we will be grateful to Him for His leading and you for your responding to His leading.

We can receive online donations through Paypal. Paypal gives a donor various options of how to pay. PayPal allows us to receive funds without needing to receive a donor’s actual checking account or bank card information, something we prefer not to have the responsibility to protect. The processing fee for PayPal donations is just under 3%, which is very reasonable for the service they provide.

Income Tax Deduction For Donation: The Rock Baptist Church is an official church plant of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (www.garbc.org). We have 501(c)(3) exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service through a group exemption for the GARBC.

Gifts to the church will be used wherever needed most in the ministry of the church, unless a preference is indicated.

The church actively distributes creation science literature on university campuses and other venues. Funds may be designated for this purpose in the Notes area of the PayPal transaction. Alternatively, an e-mail sent to us will accomplish the same thing.

Funds designated as “outreach” will generally be used for these purposes. However, according to the tax laws of the United States, if a tax deductible receipt is given, the receiving organization legally has complete discretionary control on the distribution of funds. This law applies to every organization offering tax deductible receipts. If there are any questions about this, please contact Pastor Stout for more information.
